Fantasy Kids is a non-profit organization created to make a difference in the lives of children in the Humble area who have endured a tough circumstance. Many things happen in life, but when children have to accept the loss of a limb, terminal illness or another serious affliction, they are often overwhelmed with hospitals and recovery. Many spend more time in than out of hospitals that it becomes all they know.
The following story inspired us. There was a woman, who as a child, suffered from cancer. Having received severe doses of chemotherapy and radiation, she was not expected to live. Her wish was to take a trip to Disneyland and an anonymous donator made that dream come true. Today, she thrives at age 28, has two beautiful children and attributes that special experience in Disneyland as the pivotal point in her life. The trip showed her that fun was possible, reversed her spirits for the better and showed her that life could be beautiful and fulfilling. That dream, which volunteers like you made happen, forever changed her life.
Life is full of peaks and valleys and some children's valleys are very deep indeed. Our goal is to give them a small fantasy that will become a peak in their lives. Peaks are what we remember. Peaks are the stories we tell others. Peaks are the motivators and stuff dreams are made of. Peaks can change a child's view of the world, leaving a lasting and lifelong impression.
We have made a commitment to make fantasies come true for kids that need it the most.
