"My Fantasy Came True!" |

On April 22, 2007, nine-year-old Julian was struck by a car while walking to a friend's house. As a result of the accident, he was lifeflighted to Memorial Herman Hospital where he was admitted for a severe head injury, a fractured face, and a broken leg |
He spent nearly 4 weeks in a drug-induced coma, so that neurosurgeons could monitor and control the swelling in his head, during which time he had to have shunts permanently inserted into his skull in order to drain the excess fluid that was detected thru MRI.

After the placement of the shunts, he remained at Memorial Herman in order to recover from the amount of narcotics required to keep him sedated and to continue receiving his food and breathing treatments. On June 3, 2007, he was moved to Healthbridge Children's Hospital in order to begin physical, speech, and occupational therapy on a daily basis. |

Throughout this whole time, Julian's dad, mom, and sister spent every day (4 long months!) at his bedside, learning what they would need to know in order to bring him home. |
| On July 9, 2007, Julian was released and was able to come home. His parents say he is doing great, although he still has a long road ahead with continued therapy and evaluations. |

| After all that Julian had to overcome, he and his family felt that a Crystal Beach Vacation would be a great way to relax before he begins the long journey to recovery. So, that is what Fantasy Kids made come true! |

With the help and donations of many gracious people, Julian and his family were able to enjoy a relaxing 4-day vacation in a beach front house on Crystal Beach, which included donations of breakfast, lunch, and dinner and even a golf cart ride on the beach. They also enjoyed a 2-day visit to Moody Gardens. |

| "As Julian's dad carried him up the stairs to the beach house and he looked out at the beach from the deck, his eyes got very big, his face lit up, and he was in awe of the scenery that God had made!" |

| Julian and his family would like to thank all for making that dream come true! |
